Dennis Wilson made camco, and doug clifford a little. Ive heard mixed opinions on camco vs rogers- Ive been told dw is camco lugs with rogers shells, meaning 5ply maple correct?

From what I heard today only really early Rogers used Jasper shells. Here is a shot inside the floor tom. Really solid shells here and all perfectly in round. A keeper for sure!

Camcos do have a great sound. I had an Ambassador 5x14 years ago and was one of the best snare drums I'd ever had, especially the smoothness of the snare strainer. This rolled over hoops are nice too.

As to Sergio Mendes; his drummer, João Palma, it seems he could have made a set of tuna cans sound good! No doubt was inspired by Lani Hall's voice too.

Let us know when you play your first beach party with those wild looking ones!

Sneak peak of the drums being cleaned up. All the tension rods and hoops are soaking in some Dawn soap. Last thing to do is clean up the rail mount and touch up the hoops with paint. Edges are perfect!
