Interior shell Keystone badge? Last viewed: 23 hours ago

Has anyone ever seen this before?

A blank keystone badge over the grommet?

The paint has chipped there, it's not cracked.

On the other side is a pre serial keystone.

The drum is date stamped July 22 1958.

BB tone arm & red felt. it's a 6.5 x 14 BDP Ludwig Symphonic.

I have never seen this in a book or online.

Thoughts?

Nope. That seems in my mind to be an on the fly fix for the wood splintering when the hole was drilled. Unique and cool. Couldn't imagine that'd detract from value. Inside looks squeaky clean. What's the condition of the rest?

that date doesn't go with the red felt ball bat, white interior or pre serial Keystone, maybe the date is a bit smudged and says 63?

I'm in complete agreement with John being in complete agreement with me - but especially that the drum is absolutely gorgeous. BDP is one of my favorites (have 2 kits),

Cheers & enjoy - c

Here is a picture of the date, now that I look at it, maybe 1960?

Real hard to tell.

If anyone is interested, 3 more exact ones are for sale.

They are on LA, SD & OC CL in CA.
