It's the Display Your Ringo Kit Thread! Last viewed: 9 minutes ago

I don't think anyone has started a thread like this, so I thought I would. Seems enough of us are interested in Ringo kits, so lets see some pics of your OBP kits (Beatle-ized or not). I've got a resto on the go, but I just can't seem to get it done as other projects seem to keep pushing it back. Apparently tons of these were made, and I'm sure that collectively we own a good chunk of them. Post 'em if you've got 'em! Clapping Happy2

I am SPARTICUS

I am SPARTICUS

I'm Richard. I play me drooms. Hello and howdy, SparkleTush.

What you have just heard is an actual conversation that took place February 23, 1965 between Richard 'Ringo' Starkey and Oliver 'Sparticus' Olivefield, the guitarist for Rose Garden Tea Buscuit.

There's my contribution.

As many times as I've seen this pic, I've never noticed ... Interesting offset double set of spurs.

Correct me if I'm wrong - I've been calling my Ringo set a "bop" thinking that's the abbreviation for oyster black pearl/ black oyster pearl. I know there's a blue oyster pearl. So what's proper? Next step would be to take the time to figure out how to post pics, and take some good ones. My 67 downbeat is all original, and quite clean if i do say so myself!

From what I understand Ringo only used that WMP set for one rehearsal. Manny's Music "I think" sent over the wrong color set and it was replaced with the BOP immediately for the actual performances.

I got some Ringo's for sure. I have 4 more original downbeat black oysters about ready to be let out....slowly. One has the jazzfest, 3 have the pioneer and I am using a blue oyster jazzfest for one as well. These pics are all formerly owned but are now gone.
