Really can't believe anyone would really think the levels recorded on that video could be used to accurately asses the mix in that room. But I really don't understand volume levels for anyone but the drummer or sax player if you have one. For any other instrument it's simply a matter of turning a little knob. And if your drums are mic'd then the sound guy can turn the knob for you!!!! What's the problem. The best musicians I've worked with don't fight for volume. And the guys who can't moderate won't get called back.
+1! I presume your all mates in the band so just sort it out. If anyone is blaming you for volume creep then simply take heed. Anyway that is what reheasal is for, to design and shape the sound of the band and the levels it performs at.
I would just like to add that in my experience using warm vintage drums over sharp new modern kits gives me more scope to play at a more comfy level without projecting as much bone shattering volume. I have used that strategy in small bar gigs for years and I've always found it useful.
