Today Bonzo, Ludwig, Led Zeppelin&Paiste fans would be had he lived his 65th birthday! :).I'm celebrating by playing Led Zeppelin, i just wish i had my Luddy Centennial "Zepp "kit to play along with Zeppelin.He's my HERO&INSPIRATION for playing drums &the reason for choosing Ludwig&Paiste! .I just wish that here in OZ there was a "Bonzo's" birthday bash like there is in the states! :).I 've got a mate who's lucky enough to have sat behind Bonzo's green sparkle kit in february'72 in Kooyong stadium Kooyong Melbourne! .I too was there &was ONLY 7YO! :) , my oldman broke the speed limit (160mph) in his 70 Ford Falcon GTHO phase2 351 cleveland to get me there intime! :), a day i'll NEVER forget! :)

He was no doubt an influence in my playing as well as many others.

The man had a style and a unique sound that was identifiable in the first few bars he played.

He was unfortuneately,just one of those people that life was just too tough and as a result,no matter what he did,he could never be happy.

Your playing will always be missed by me Bonzo.
