once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

"Four Sticks".

Happy Birthday, Sir.

B

PS - I had a friend that did a pencil drawing of JB. (Pretty sure he sold them, too.) I think the piece was even called Bonzo, or something like that. Anyway, Bonzo was playing his chrome kit, with his hands. It was an awesome rendition. Crazy detail. (What up, Gary?!)

PPS - Ha, haaaa. Here it is! F-----g ebay!

From pjn1375

Is this true? Never heard this before.

Two people that were very close to me that were alcoholics and substance abusers, went down the same path.

I had to be educated and educate myself on substance abuse and the human condition.

Bonzo displayed all the characteristics of a classicly depressed substance abuser who got high as a coping mechanism.

He lavished himself in what ever he wanted, including very expensive cars.

He paid for some of this by be playing live and being on the road, something which he hated.

The stories about my people around him seem to bear this out.No one has ever yet said he was well balanced and happy.

That dosen't make him a bad person by any means.he just coped with things in an unhealhy manner.

Greatest rock drummer of all time, bar none.

Taught me all about how to be heavy and powerful and how to pay attention to the space BETWEEN notes.
