i cant do pics right now, if you know what a 1950 blue sparkle kent snare looks like with the white and gold tin / paper badge that says kent kenmore 17, ny made in u.s.a. makes it 1950s and has a muffler. picture the twin only with a paramount black and gold tin/ paper badge that says paramount quality drums new york, no factory muffler ever installed ,( must of been a cost issue )same 3 ply maple shell.

just looking for the connection between the two drums . did they start making drums for say a department store and the store wanted their name on the drum(s)? even the throwoffs are the same small, simple ,tall thin lever that is knurled and tension knob is knurled. plus both have the cheap almost see thru no name heads top and bottom. sorry no pics take my word for it . its just one of those small mysteries that would be added to the kent drum companys history for people like us. remember its the little guy that always gets forgotten. and we may never really know, but we do love our drums! thanks guys, my main kit is a 1966 ludwig 4 pc 22,13,16 with 5x14 chrome, silver sparkle with all org. stands and pedals thanks again lud55.

If the Paramount snare has the same strainer and lugs as the Kent snare, then it was made in the US, and is not MIJ.

The connection between the two you ask?

Why, they're both drums...

Kind of obvious, really.
