Late Christmas pressie - Slingy sound king Last viewed: 5 hours ago

Some generous person (me) bought this for me as a Christmas present. It turned up yesterday morning and I used it at rehearsal last night. What a magnificent sounding drum. I think it's very late 60s (advertised as a 65) and in very fine condition (with very shiny, reflective chrome). If you haven't tried one of these I suggest you do, but i'm sure most of you have and i'm just very late to the partyCooked Egg My first Slingerland drum

Congrats! I love my 5x14, 10 lug, Slingy...and it's from the early '80's. Great, punchy, yet full sounding drum.

Enjoy,

Brian

Again, these are overlooked COB snares that play and sound FANTASTIC!

Never play it the same way once.

thanks guys. I have quite a collection of snares now (Dyna, supra, Acro, Hayman, Premier 2000 and 35...) but this could be my new favorite. It's that good.

Andrew, that's a really nice one.. can't better that Slingerland Chrome.. Let's know what you think of those Rims too.. they are partly why I like Slingo's so much.

(nice to see another one south of the Equator)..

Cheers

Yes, the rims are fantastic. Really nice for rimshots. I don't know what it's like in Aus but you don't see many of these here. And they are such good value too, even with the shipping to NZ.
