From Fayray

Yes, the rims are fantastic. Really nice for rimshots. I don't know what it's like in Aus but you don't see many of these here. And they are such good value too, even with the shipping to NZ.

Well, they do pop up infrequently, but not often seen in that condition..Did you buy it from USA? member here??

Cheers

John

Yes, from ebay USA. So what do you do when you see a snare you're interested in on ebay with a very tasty BIN but no mention of international shipping? I ask the question and nearly always miss out while waiting for a reply - like this one just now. It sat there for about an hour or so with me waiting for a response before someone else pulled the trigger. It seems rude to just pull the trigger and ask later but it nearly always ends with me not winning.

Well, Thats all you can do..Ask will they ship internationally.. If it's listed as "Ships only to USA" etc, you can't get a bid in anyhow... I had all kinds of drama with this one (see the thread).. I was going for the buy now price, but could not get a bid on until the seller kindly agreed to change it to "Ships to OZ", something went wrong and I ended up as the highest bid which was 30 or so dollars less that the Buy Now. Luckily no one bid over me on this occasion.

Cheers

that's a great photo with your Sling all Aussie'd upflowers2

Every Ebay seller I've asked so far has been happy to ship to me, although I had a similar problem to you once where the seller was having trouble changing his shipping settings so i could bid. That worked out fine though.

Even with the shipping costs many of these drums make for good buying compared with a new drum here. Trouble is i have a rapidly expanding collection of vintage snares that's taking over my drum room. Still, there are worse ways to spend money, and I've got more shelving coming next weekExcited
