That's interesting. I traded a Red Satin Flame set to Bobby at Drum Farm several years ago. Like the drums in your picture, the 20" bass drum had 10 lugs per each side. The drums I traded to Bobby had a matching Red Satin Flame Slingerland snare.

That was the set. I used to have a picture of it as a Frank Capp endorser kit with the 20 lug bass. That was one nice kit, as you know. I really wish I'd kept it. The snare was as nice as the kit. I think Bobby still had the snare you mention, but I wanted a Leedy and found that one in England.

You have outstanding taste in vintage drums, Dan. I obtained my Black Diamond Pearl set from Bobby. All of the drums still had/have heads from Henry Adler Music Company in New York City.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
