Some may have liked it... Thing is you did not bag the initial post. However someone here rants on about Passion and then posts up a (IMO) boring old video that almost put me to sleep ( also apparently the bassist in the clip appears to be dozing off during the drum solo)..

Cheers

I watched the first video.

It was cool.

Those guys sounded great.

I listen to all kinds of Jazz.

Swing, straight ahead, be-bop, fusion, prog, electronic freak show stuff too.

I think people should step outside of their comfort zone sometimes and hear something new sometimes.

Some people say that todays music sucks.

I say it depends on who you listen to and what your taste is.

There are millions of very talented people making their own music that none of us will ever hear.

It's all good. :D

I don't think it's all good, just like every movie or tv show ever made was all good. There's a lot of bad movies, tv shows, paintings and yes, music out there. I'm not saying the initial video was bad, just not what I listen to.

I've been a fan of Snarky Puppy for some time. Tried to see them in Detroit but couldn't make it. The jazz club where they performed is Cliff Bells, which was active in prohibition era then closed for many many years. A visit is like taking a 70 year step back in time. The band is large and the stage is very small. Basically, you'd be sitting with the band, not in front of them.

Would really love to see them live.

With Snarky Puppy-we`re talking a very high caliber of musicianship here and they work like a well oiled machine firing on all pistons-the energy in this band jumps right into my soul. Thanks for posting this great and wonderful band.Love Larnel Lewis !!!

I'll second that. There are some extraordinary talents that go missed, and have been missed for generations past.

These guys have picked up where Chicago and Blood, Sweat & tears left off!

That's about the highest compliment I can think of to give them. Terrific musicians.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Was it just me, or did I hear someone scream out "Freebird"?!

Towards the end of the keyboard solo, they sounded like E.L.P.
