That would be "The Silver Spade Room" Chevron Hotel Sydney.. We did a lot of high profile gigs...CheersJohnI reckon "Rubber Band" was a real popular band name in the 70's...( and on lead male vocal... "Mr Soccer".. Les Murray)

Wow, my father used to play at the Chevron back then. You might've even come across him - Bob Barnard?

Knew who your dad & his brother Len were .... But don't think I ever met either..

Would have heard them play live though... We worked the same venues..

( we were the rock band that would often do double headed band gigs with the Jazz guys )..

Grahame Bell managed my band for a short stint and I know that your dad worked with his jazz band... but that was much earlier in the piece..

You do have good music genes... ;)

Cheers

John

Well I have one picture and have been having an issue with figuring out how to do it. Not too computer savvy. Well I think I have it and if I do I'll post more. One update on my original narrative. My kits "born on date" is September 5,1965 not December 5,1965. That's only 26 days newer than my original. Pretty incredible, I think, after 51 years.

Here's some more pictures. Also attached are my two 1966327"s.

Man am I RUSTY. But I'll keep working at it, maybe it'll come back. I like just like looking at it and can't believe the perfect condition that it's in. It takes me back to the good old days.
