Maybe it's a 14x13? I bought a tom the seller said was a 14x14, turned out to be 13" deep. Blue/olive badge 10 small classic lugs. It was a hanging tom with a Rogers mount on it. I use it as a floor tom.

I just measured it with the heads on but I think it is a 13"x14". Hmmmmm. This one has the large lugs. They all do.
My '83 Tama Supertsra kit with the Xtras toms has a 13x14. Was a standard size rack tom for that time. I think it was converted and that's why the grommet is on the bottom. Only reasonable conclusion to me at least. It may have been earlier in the in the series before they went with the new modular mounts but still had the L-arms.

Just now wiped them up a little. Maybe I will wrap them a sparkle. What's a good safe paint stripper for those shell's ?
Nothing, the wrap will adhere just fine to the lacquer. maybe wipe them with rubbing alcohol to dull the sheen .

In 1985 Ludwig made me an 8x13 tom with eight lugs.
When ordering I requested the drum size, but not the number of lugs.
My..........that's a lot of lugs.
Thanks to Mr. Jerry Jenkins
It was the style at the time. More lugs = more power on the power tom...right?
That and you have much better control over lower tuning's. I've tried to coax that thunder rumble from 16" floor toms with 6 lugs, and it's a no go. I actually converted my buddies from a 6 lug to an 8 lug. He loves it. Especially for larger drums I prefer more lugs.

I am going to post the 16"x24" bass drum and 10"x12" tom in the for sale section if anyone is interested.
