Thanks for all the feedback! I appreciate it. The current owner of the kit originally labeled them as "Rockers". However, after I forwarded additional inquiries, he stated that he doesn't believe them to be Rockers. He believes they were manufactured prior to the late '70s Rockers series. Attached are a few pics. Unfortunately, they're the only decent ones I've got.
Ludwig Rockers -- "Dazed & Confused"! Last viewed: 33 minutes ago
Those appear to be regular "Top of the Line" Ludwig Super Classics from the early to mid 70's era.
I think the confusion came about because you said they had "Standard" lugs which made everyone think they had the smooth lugs used on Standard line drums and later on the Rocker series. Those are "Classic" lugs which were/are the standard Ludwig lugs...but calling them that can really lead to confusion.
Looks like either a Hollywood or Big Beat set (both were the same 12/13/16/22 drums but the Big Beat had Atlas hardware while the Hollywood had the lighter flat based stands).
You might have been better off price wise if the owner thought they were Rockers. Sounds like he may have figured it out otherwise.
And there you go.. The real deal. Super Classic Ludwig drums, with that distinct
70's Ludwig 3 ply tone.. Let's just hope the owner doesn't raise his price..
Good luck, and keep us posted !
Granitone threw me off

When you come here, you`ll know what you have, and so will they. Kit jumped from budget line to top of the line.

You're 100% correct, K.O.! When I originally stated that they had Ludwig "Standard" lugs, I meant that they had the standard "Classic" lugs in lieu of those found on the Ludwig Standard kits. That was poor wording on my part and, as you said, it threw everybody off.

The owner kept his price as originally offered. I asked if I could drive out to see them in person on Wednesday morning for a possible purchase and the owner agreed. He provided his address and we agreed on 11:00 am.
Unfortunately (for me), when I came home from band rehearsal on Tuesday evening I received an email, notifying me that the kit had been sold. The kit went for $300.
