Ludwig Rockers -- "Dazed & Confused"! Last viewed: 1 minute ago

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post.

There is a Ludwig kit for sale in Sweden, about a six hour drive from where I live in Oslo, Norway.

Here is the only picture of the kit the seller has posted:

The sizes are 22", 10", 12", 13", 13", 14", 15" and 16", 18" and 20".

The snare is a Pearl of unknown date and model.

The seller has informed me that the kit is at least 30 years old and that it is comprised of two separate kits, the finish was originally maple and the shells are 7-ply (he probably got that wrong; the catalog from 1980 states that the Rock Power drums were "6-ply die-mold").

I have scanned the available Ludwig catalogs and have come to the conclusion based on the 20" floor tom that the kit must be a Rock Power kit, possibly from 1980.

If this is the case what would you say it is worth? The seller has the price set at approximately $2150.

I will of course not buy the kit unseen.

All help is much appreciated!

I tend to agree with Human71, that it's a regular Ludwig kit, with Rockers heads. You used the term "standard" lugs...were you referring to the lugs that were used on the "Standard" series, which were later used on the "Rockers" series, or the regular "classic" style lugs that were (and are) used on the "classic" series?

Granitone threw me offLooks like painted interiorsPictures was the answerWayne

No, those are granitone interiors. Ludwig did make 3-ply drums that had granitone interiors around that time. I had a pair of classic series rack toms made in '76 and they had granitone interiors.
