Appears to be a Jazz Festival, which is good, but also looks like one that someone stripped the wrap off of, which is less good. Factory Mahogany finish tends to be a darker brown than that. It will still have that classic JF sound but I'd say it's probably a $200-$250 drum tops in that condition. I'd probably offer no more than $150 myself...but I'm cheap. If it was wrapped and stripped you should be able to see the remains of the original wrap going into the scarf joint. Good candidate for a rewrap.

I'm going to go on a limb and say it's factory. Looking at the far right and far left lug, you can see them in the reflection of the finish. Plus, if that's the original grommet and badge, it would be loose after the wrap was removed. Most ordinary people don't know how to handle that. So they tend to be crooked or fall upside down. Again, i'm just speculating.

Hmm....That does NOT look like the interior of any 60's era Ludwig I've ever seen. Those re-rings aren't right for a KB Ludwig...IMO.

Almost looks like a modern Keller "vintage" shell to me. Might be a nice sounding drum but not an original vintage Ludwig.

NOT LUDWIG! Don't buy that drum unless it sounds really good. Looks like somebody put Ludwig hardware and a badge on a custom/store bought shell. I'm not sure what it is, it actually looks like a Radio King shell in its construction, but I wouldn't pay more than $150. for it as it sits. And... it would have to sound really good before I plunk my $ down. Interesting, but not like any Ludwig snare I've ever seen.

Mike Layton needs to chime in...

notice the two extra holes? i really dont think it is a Ludwig at all. mike will be able to tell us for sure. in the mean time, i think i would ask the seller more questions about the snare.
