First one of these I ever heard of. Missed opportunity bud! Something rare like that stands a good chance of doing well in an auction situation. You certainly wouldn't have lost any money by paying the full asking price.

The lugs were double ended snare lugs.The same used on the Standard snares..I wish i did get some photos of the set but i did not...I was a fool not to take the set at the asking price....Mikey

Well, don't beat yourself up... hindsight is always 20 20.

With a late '69 date, all I can figure is that Ludwig did that thing that Ludwig is famous for... use up old shells. Best thing I can come up with is they had a kit or two of Club Dates kicking around, tossed some lugs and badges on 'em and out the door they went. That is not cataloged at any rate. I just checked the '69 and '70 Standard's catalog.

Thanks Rocketman..for letting my know i did not see that set of Bermuda's..But the one i looked at had the Standard lugs on it.Bermuda's set has the classic snare drum lugs on it......Mikey
