1970's Ludwig vistalite W/ Snare - Yellow

Was wondering an aproximate worth on these. The condition is excellent, very minor normal scratching not visible from a foot away. There are no cracks and bearing edges are like new. I believe the SN's indicate 1978.

I'd say those have been in many a smoky bar....

Well, my Ludwig blue vistalites with an 8x12,9x13,16x16,14x22 and a 5x14 matching snare sold for $905 on an ebay auction, but mine were not concert toms. The concert toms may bring down the value.

Very strange set. I have never seen Clear turn Yellow, nor have I ever seen Yellow fade so much. (My guess is that these are faded yellow from extreme exposure to light/sunlight). (However, it's still a mystery how it could be so uniform) ? ?

My guess would be that they were orange. Look at the inlay on the bass drum. If they were yellow it would be yellow. If it was clear, I believe it would be silver sparkle or metallic. Of course we're assuming the hoops are original.

BBK,I think the set is yellow but very unclean and maybe bad photos..The inlay on the bass drum looks gold to me...Mikey

Guys, he wasn't asking your opions on what color his drums are, he wants to know there value, now focus and stay on the topic.

Knowing the color will help detemine the value. Its not as clear cut as the blue and clear being cheapest. It may be faded or smoke stained to the point where its value is very diminished. It is not a matter of opinion on the kit but simple fact.
