Meet a parts stripper yesterday, ugh :( Last viewed: 9 hours ago

Speaking of said infamous Florida parts stripper, I was SHOCKED to see his name listed in the dedication section of Harry Cangany's Great American Drums book. I've had Harry's informative book for quite a while but never noticed the dedication page near the beginning. Perhaps Harry's interaction with this individual was before parts stripping was frowned upon?

I briefly dated a stripper back in the late 60's...

FYI

Never play it the same way once.

It will never cease to amaze me how low some people will go to make the almighty $! And sadly enough this one is in our own backyard with vintage drums.Like in any other crooked profession of stripping/altering collectables, there will always be dues to pay, and it`s only a matter of time before they fall on hard times...guess you`d call it karma...

I have been collecting vintage drums/kits for the past 15 years. Have purchased partial kits in hopes of finding the correct replacement, and currently looking for a few as I type this. One item I have been looking for a couple years! The people selling the items have no interest in the collective aspect in them, only understanding the gain in their wallet. To some it is negative, and to some, it is gaining the last piece of the puzzle. I do not think that there are many people on the forum, that would buy a complete kit, only to need the floor or ride to complete their quest. If they did, I am sure they would take the better of the kits, make one to their liking, and turn around and flip the others to offset their purchase. Not condoning the specific seller in question...as most of you know that there is more than him on eBay! Previously had sold to these people before knowing what they are doing, thus they were added to my blocked bidder list. Just my :2Cents:

I just wish I could send a message to all the parts sellers on eBay at once, and tell them that six Gretsch tom tension rods are not worth $39.95.
