Yeah! The knurl is wrong... ya' b*stard. And where's the script logo, kick drum reso head? And what are you thinking, gigging them, let alone laying them sideways on a hardwood floor? Shouldn't they be in a 'museum'? Just ribbin' ya. Great kit... ya' b*stard.

Hate to rain on the parade, but the knurl looks wrong on the FT legs.......looks generic......

Nope it is right that is the early true knurl then later they went to the straight line, at least that is the way i understand it , maybe a ludwig expert will correct us both .. :)

original BD head was not given to me yet. I'm actually getting that & a flat based cymbal stand(not sure if same era yet). Guess I will see. I did NO work to these & NO cleaning at all.

By 67,they had gone on to the "straight line" knurl.

If you look at these legs, the knurl goes right to the very top of the leg, which the earlier ones would not have done.....there is around 1/4" taper or so at the top on those.

Beautiful! I've got the same kit, with matching Pioneer snare, 1971 with arc spurs and B/O badges. I purchased a second floor tom for that GK/BR vibe!
