Thank you for all of your support, my friends. It means a lot. I'm up early ready to transfer equipment and set up. This afternoon, I will try my very best to play like I've never played before! Every tune I play will be for John. In August, I was shorn of my long ponytail which I donated to "Angel Hair for Kids". This organization uses such donations to make wigs for kids with cancer. I did this for John. I am thankful that he knew about it before he died. Got a job to do. Gotta get ready.

Thank you with all my heart.

About a year ago our trumpet player died after a 2 year fight with cancer. He also could play a song exactly as written after hearing it one time. He was 86 years old. The rest of us are in our 60's. We used to razz him about being old enough to be our Dad. He had more energy and stamina then the rest of us combined. Now whenever we play we still leave of spot for him and set up the stool he sat on. Sometimes I'd swear I can hear his trumpet off in the distance. Think of your friend often. I'm sure he's there with you.

Thank you for your support and understanding, my friends. Yesterday's concert went really well! There were lots of people in attendance and a lot of food and cash donations were donated. Sure, there were a few rough moments but, I can honestly say that this was a resounding success. I even got to incorporate my Supra into my old kit. It sounded amazing!

Again, please let me stress how much your sentiments meant to me. I'm a lucky guy.

Thanks, John. I know you were there.

"Maketh a joyful noise unto the Lord!" I'm not a religious guy, Brian, but the Bible quote seemed to fit!

May your buddy rest in peace.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

John, you are absolutely right about the quote being so appropriate! Thanks for everything, my friend.
