The WMP LA Camco kit I owned had clear lacquered interiors.

We just need better photos.

Thanks for all the info. The set IS Chanute. I bought this set nearly 40 years ago - used. Been playing all this time - loudest drums ever made! All stands are Tama. Bass front rims are missing, back rims are Camco. No other damage except wear and tear! Hopefully these pics are better - I'm not a computer guy - new at this. Help2

Naw, I was guessing Oaklawn as this is the first BDP Chanute I've ever seen.

With those pics I'd say you're closer to $2500-$3000. Missing the bass drum hoops, Chanute era and the fact that the BDP has really darkened from it's original finish all affect the pricing. Cool kit none the less!

If you ever plan on selling the kit I would divide the kit up and sell as a

22/12/13/18 and a 24/14/15/20. That WAY you would make the most amount of money. As a full kit it's a bit odd to have two different size bass drums and would be much harder to sell IMO.

Also in the pics the floor toms look miles apart in size. Is it definitely an 18? Or is that a 16?

Right On! Thank you for being such a great steward to it. It's the 1st Camco prog size set that looks like a ton of fun and not made up with 20" bass drums. Chanute all the way...

Tom you are in luck because I just happen to have an extra 22" Camco bass drum hoop. You will need to find the BDP inlay for it though. Anyone out there with some slightly faded BDP inlay for his new hoop?

Steve, Why does the fact that his drums were made during the Chanute era lessen the value?

The Oaklawn drums are worth more because of the COB hoops and 4 ply shells. Make that early Oaklawn. Later Oaklawns seem to hold their value just as high as early Oaklawns even though they had switched to 6 ply shells and generic imported hoops. Sometimes people forget why Oaklawns are highly sought after. The workmanship is quite questionable at times of Chanute based era drums as well.

I've had many Chanute drums over the years that were dogs. But I also have one of the best sounding Camco kits in a 24/14/18 Chanute kit in walnut. But I only have $650 into it Cool Dude
