The DUCO with the Imperials and the keystone badge... Ludwig finally got it all right! All the many variations along the way and what always kills is the classic design and feel of the old vintage kits. About time they gave their own tradition some recognition! I love the look of the new drums.
Mark - You have to tell us what the sound and build quality is like when you see and play them. Have fun at the show... I know you will!

The availability of those new flat imperial lugs (that people have been hounding them to make for years) opens up a lot of neat possibilities for vintage minded folks wanting some new drums.
maybe something like this (but why is this particular guy seated behind them?)
Or maybe some retro top hat and cane action.
The blue/silver Duco set is a new one from their facebook page
It remains to be seen what Ludwig will do with these lugs but they'd be very foolish not to offer them as an option on their high end drums.
I'm all a-twitter about it :)
