Didn't get around to putting a new front head on but cleaned up The old one w some glass cleaner . Looks 100 times better.

If you have an old head, give a damp magic eraser a test try. I have used this method in the past and it does help remove scuffs and old dirt. Just don't rub too hard or you'll start removing the coating. It can really whiten up some old dingy heads.

Magic Erasers are incredible.

Looks killer! Great job man!

One suggestion would be to paint the BD hoop. Tape off the inlay and get it back to full black instead of having the raw wood standing out. Just a suggestion though...everything looks great.

Great looking drums. I told you guys that Meguires PlastX works if you can't find or afford the Novus. You might want to hit those hoops lightly with some fine sand paper and, Yes, tape off the inlay strips with some masking tape and paint those hoops. Will look brand new. I use that $1 black gloss spray paint from Walmart.

Really nice job. I wish mine looked that good.

I always end up painting the hoops but it may be worth leaving them as they are if you don't mind a few chips as yours are pretty tidy, it kind of keeps them looking vintage and they're part of it's mojo. It's a personal thing though.

If you don't want to repaint the hoops quit yet, a black felt-tipped Sharpie works great for a quick touch-up over the scratches & nicks!

agreed! the hoops on my vistalite kit were original paint with a few mishaps. i decided to black sharpie them istead of doing an entire repaint. real pleased with the way that they turned out.

Really looks great!

Amazing just how dirty the tom mount area was when you started. I just went through the same process with my kit; so I completely understand how many hours you just spent polishing and cleaning everything.
