blue sparkle - always has been....red sparkle, too....don't know why I favor those...they are very common

I also like black cortex because I think black and chrome always look classy

Wow- there are so many...

I like the finish that came on my Sino OCDP's Blue Onyx, which is more like a modern Ludwig WMP dyed blue- drums and some has this finish.

I like blue/white onyx, which is currently on my Premier bastard kit. Something special about that pattern...

I also love many of the satin flames. I like pink, I like green, and I like white. I love brunettes the same way...

I also love good ol' fashioned glass sparkle...

But I like the non-glass stuff, too!!!

WMP is mighty tasty.

But BOP turns my head like most blonde girls.

Chrome is like a red head- makes me feel a little bit dirty...

Sh**- just like my women, I really don't have a preference...

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!

Ooh, that's a toughie.

I've always loved pearls. Midnight Blue Pearl was my favourite finish even before I chanced upon my 50s MBP Gretsch kit at the tender age of 16. It's still my favourite today. BDP is a close second.

Satins are lovely too. Champagne sparkle might be the classiest of all the finishes. And Precision Drum's ginger glass glitter is really something.

Kits:
1950s Gretsch Name Band in Midnight Blue Pearl (13/16/22/14sn)
1965/66 Ludwig Club Dates rewrapped in Black Diamond Pearl (12/15/20)

Sparkles of any kind. Love 'em.

Wouldn't mind a nice onyx kit at some point.

I have the kits I have always lusted for, wmp Slingerlands that a friend of our family had, blue sparkle Ludwigs that a kid in the neighborhood played and a blue agate snare which was my first kit. Although I do like black and natural maple.

Hmmmm........ I have the following in my little collection. I really don't have a favorite color for drums. Most of the sets I gigged with in the 60's were some variation on black. I discovered an affinity for brighter colors in the 80's when I bought a Green Glass Glitter Slingy set.

Champagne Sparkle 63 Rogers

Black Diamond Pearl 63 Leedy

Red Sparkle early 60's Orphan Ludwig rewrap set

Red Glass/White Marine/Blue Glass 68 five banded Slingy set

Salmon Satin Flame 65 Walberg & Auge set

Gold Glass Glitter 63 Walberg & Auge set

White 3-D Moire Leedy Orphans from the 40's, 50's, and 60's re-wrapped set

Red Glass Glitter 65/66 Slingerland set

Ice Blue Metallic 72 Walberg & Auge set

I have a recent purchase early 60's Slingerland set in Light Blue Pearl (Midnight Blue) on the way to me. The wrap is beyond redemption. So, I am going to rewrap them in some unusual discontinued Slingerland White Sparkle material that I have just waiting for a suitable candidate drum set.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
