Yes 22/16/13/12. I will share the re-wrap. Could be awhile, decisions...
Do you think they are "Presidents" ?

No badges? My amateur 2 cents says they could be. I'm not sure what would make a "President" in the early 70s. The 60s phenolic models came with a matching phenolic snare. From the early 70s models I have seen in fiberglass or wood-fiberglass (only pictures) I did not see anything different than the regular fiberglass set I have. Other than the badges. Maybe they were sold as sets with the high end hardware? I have not been able to figure that one out. No clues in the catalogs. A lot of people call the COS snares with the 'coffin' style lugs 'President' snares, though I have yet to see a 'President' badge on one. But many people call all COB snares of that era Jupiters when Jupiter snares have the parallel strainer gadget. One of the senior members here suggested that they were using up the badges they had by using them on their new wood/ fiberglass drums.
There is a guy from the Netherlands over on the Pearl forum that seems to know a bit about them. I'd love to pick his brains but for some reason they won't let me won't let me play in their reindeer games. Soap Box
I'm sure they had badges but ended up still attached to the black naga wrap when it was tossed. Haven't cleared enough flat surface to dump the box of bit's out yet. All kinds of odd junk in there.
First layer of dirt off the snare. It should clean up to near new. Not a huge fan of COS snares. Just a black/gold Pearl Japan metal stick on label. With crap heads this one sounds better than most. The "coffin" lugs and minimal strainer assemblies do look nice.
Funny, Pearl board does not let me play either. Gave up trying couple of years ago.

So, many searches later I think these are a "Professional Series RockJazz" kit from 1972. Pretty good match on most of the bits, Stands and hardware is spot on.
They have suffered a re-wrap that was pulled from all but the bass. Nail denotes the vent hole that was covered up. Hence whatever badges long gone. Matters not they are going to look good in WMP with a blue under tint. Have a spare Pearl 16" FT that will get wrapped as well for a 2up/2down kit.
One thing not finding a catalog match is the wicked curved bass drum spurs. Any help there would be great.
The box of bits was entertaining. Slingerland cow bell /wood block holder, Ludwig cow bell mount. All lugs. Best guess most of the tension rods. Having a grand time with this project.
Thanks!

Look like Ludwig spurs.
Cool price for all of that... BD pedal alone pulls half of that downunder, I still have a couple of those.... But... I'm not seeing any "Wood Fibreglass" shells there.... just wood...
Cheers

I was looking at the 1972 catalog that you mentioned. Then I looked at a couple more. Front of the Selmer "70s" Pearl catalog has a photo of a set on the front that has the newer lugs, newer wrap colors, and president badges. Has phenolic, wood -fiberglass and fiberglass listed inside. So there is proof that your drums could have had the president badges. With those wrap colors I'd say that catalog is a 73 or later by the wraps. Just a guess. I'll post a link instead of attaching it. Look at the "7 page catalogue 1970s"
http://www.drumarchive.com/Pearl/
On another note the Pearl site has two 71-72 catalogs I had never seen. First time those have come up when I searched. Closer to the info i need. Anybody have a 1970 catalog?!
Very interesting. Selmer pdf load failed yesterday on first try but worked this time. Original hole spacing on my BD looks to be for the fold out spurs shown. No surprise they broke and were replaced. Anyone have a set of the correct ones please let me know.
Sorry can't help with a 1970 catalog. Suspect same would solve many questions :-).
Thanks for all of your help on this!!
