Picked up a late 70's Slingerland Kit For $75.00 on Craigslist!t Last viewed: 19 minutes ago

Picked up a late 70's Slingerland Kit For $75.00 on Craigslist! I think it's a late 70's Time Machine but the 14 inch Tom mounts with the seam facing out ? Seems strange so I am not sure. Plus the sphere tom mount holder has 2 different colored spheres (one yellow and one grey) It does have the Time Machine sizes 13, 14, 18 and 24. The Kick (with two sets of spur holes) Floor Tom and 13 inch tom are all stamped with the same black Slingerland stamp. The 14 has no stamp but does appear to be a Slingerland from the same period of time.

The good:

No extra holes, Wrap seems to be original, Just a very little bit of hardware needed to get it playing, original Slingerland heads on the reso side in good shape, it was only $75.00 bucks!

The bad:

All the badges are gone, The kick drum has yellowed and does not match any of the drums (i did pull a lug and it matches the white underneath), The weirdness with the 14 tom.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! I know it's not Slingerland's most collectable period or anything but I dig that monster kick and floor tom for $ 75.00 ! Would still like to figure out what model it is.

Hi .. Great find..the BD is a killer.

It's a "Super Rock Outfit" (51N)..

Mine is a 1977 model.. I think yours is later..

Looks like the Super Rock Outfit has 2 bass drum spurs. This one has 4. 2 on each side. Anyway to get the yellow out of that wrap on the kick?
