Picked up a Ludwig Standard Kit Today Last viewed: 42 seconds ago
Nice score! Did you check for a date stamp? Those shells should have the granitone interior and a date stamp can sometimes be hard to see against that backround. That will clean up nicely!

Thanks! The shells do have the granitione interior. I can't find any date stamps on any of them, though. My 1969 "guesstimate" was based on the serial numbers on the badges.
I just finished cleaning 'em up and got a chance to set 'em up for the first time. Thought I'd share a few pics.
those look like new gary! I think the wrap on that 13 is the wildest blue strata that I have ever seen. those things look mint..
mike
Gary beautiful kit,wow.
@mlayton & vintagemore2000: Thanks for the positive feedback. Mike -- I totally agree with you. When I first saw the kit posted I actually thought the wrap on the 13" tom was different than the one on the other shells. I wish they were all that "wild". Its closest match is the wrap on the bass drum. I've attached a couple pics of that one.
That is indeed one fine looking Standard kit. Is there much fade? Doesn't look like it in the pictures. Congratulations!
Now, I hate to say this, but the only thing that would be better is if the kit was Avocado Strata. You know the old saw...
Once you've been Avocado, you can never go back! :)
That kit looks brilliant. Congratulations!
