Ok guys, I ended up getting the drum, and for even cheaper than I had said it would be. The drum was at a pawn shop, so I asked if I could get it discounted more because it was missing the muffler, and they reduced the price. Lets just say I'm pretty ecstatic. I'm going to clean it up, but i'll go ahead and post some pics, because I know the rules around here.

Thanks Vinny. BTW, do you have a muffler for this drum? Anyone? I have a 70's version, but the smaller hole is on the top, instead of the bottom.

Well? Now that you've had a chance to play it... what's the verdict? I love mine. With several top-of-the-line vintage snares to choose from, the one that's sitting behind my kit is the COB. It sounds -that good!-

Enjoy the drum my friend, it's a bona-fide winner in its class.

Too many great drums to list here!

Well, I haven't really got to play it yet, at least with the correct heads. It came with a clear Ambassador on top and a clear Emperor batter on the snare-side.DOH

I know it will sound good though, once I'm done with it. At least I finally got my COB though, eh John.;)

Love that snare, I played mine for ages & only discovered a few years ago what it was. I'll bet once you get the heads on it that you want, it won't be off the stand anytime soon :)

That's what I'm thinking. The WFL parts are kind of cool and unique on this drum.
