Novus is the only stuff I use.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Yesterday I had a customer ask me for an insect repellant that contained minimum 40% Deet. Said he read online that it would clear up his hazy headlight lenses. Told me he tried toothpaste, car wax, rubbing compound etc and none of the worked for more than a couple days.I asked if he tried the products made specifically for hazy lenses. Said no, I gave up.

This, along with John's post, is pretty much what I was thinking. There are a plethora of products out there specifically designed to clean plastic stuff, and any other kind of stuff. To further the point, if DEET or any other chemical in bug spray works like magic to clean plastic, then it is already in those products, of more to the point, NOT in them for a good reason.

I never tried the "Off" I just read about it and wondered if anyone else had heard or tried it. I have always used the Meguires PlastX headlight cleaner and light scratch remover, then some turtle wax and a good hand buffing. Did wonders on my Gold sparkle Ludwigs when I was first cleaning up the wrap. I imagine that "Off" would smell bad and they were talking about using it for plastic headlight lenses, and covers.

Has anyone ever tried Pledge. It's that furniture cleaner for removing dust and dirt for wooden tables. I used it for years on drum wrap and it's never broken down or damaged the wrap.

Ditto on the Pledge and i`ve had nothing but great results using this and i`ve used it for decades. But i only use it but once every couple of years to avoid a wax build up.
