Radio king marching snare info. needed. HELP! Last viewed: 0 seconds ago

Hi friends,

I came across two cloud-badge, wood hoop slingy snares. Light green pearl [almost sea foam green] I believe they were 8x15" and had nickel beavertail lugs. I don't recall the strainer, but they looked to be 1930s/40s.

I'm assuming they're radio king? Maybe sound kings? I just saw them briefly and wasn't able to get a close look or take any pix.

Are these rare? Anyone know a ball park value?

Thanks!

That is not a cataloged size marching drum, Are you sure of the size ? If you'll post pics if able to. The color is rare.

Probably a 10x15" then. I wish I had a pic. They seem in fair/good condition. I could probably get both for $500.

Oh, I'll plan to ; )

I just remember the dude saying he'd want a "couple hundred bucks each" for them.

I'd really love to see photos if they are indeed Sea Green Pearl.

I'm probably gonna grab them next week, as long as I can get them for a fair price. Now that I think of it - they may be 14". Did they ever make an 8x14? Here's a pic of the finish.

That looks like it is an 8x14 in your picture.

Are you sure they are marchers? 8" is a bit shallow for those. Usually they are 10 or 12" deep. No matter what, that wrap makes them desirable though.

The drum in the photo is not the drum[s] I'm looking at. I just posted it so y'all could see the finish. [though I might swap my first born for it. wow!]

But the more I think about it, I'm pretty sure they were 14". Did slingy ever make a cloud bade, wood hooped, 8x14 marcher w/ split beavertails? 10x14?
