Rail mounts on sets seem to command more money... even on players...You may not care about the originality, but if and when you go to sell it, having the rail in place might make for a more attractive set for the next person. SC

Even if you remove the rail you can use some bolts or really anything to cover the holes. Come sale time as others mentioned back to factory.
