Rogers drum set 1968 Last viewed: 48 minutes ago

Hi all, trying to get a rough idea on what a set like this may be worth? It was used from Dec.1968 through 1970 and except for this picture has been in storage ever since. I've got a double floor stand for tom toms, the one on the bass drum was dealer installed, a couple extra cymbals and stands that are in just ok shape and almost all the drum cases. I think one of the bass drum pedals needs some work and nothing special with the snare drum.. I'm the original owner with the paperwork to back it up with the owners signature at the bottom of picture. (I'm no longer at that address) I also have some extra hardware and a case for the cymbals etc. too. I wouldn't call the set mint at all but it's pretty damn nice. Do you like that cowbell and wood block.lol I know if you got on top of it more you would find a few things but I'm just looking for a guesstimate. I see a four piece Rogers set on Ebay now (same color) without any hardware, cymbals , hi-hat , drum throne etc. asking 2,500.00 with 37 watchers. Thanks for the look and any information given is much appreciated. Arnie

Arnie-that wine ripple wrap is pretty popular amongst collectors provided it`s in nice shape. That wrap type is prone to splitting-any splits? We need more info about the drum sizes and the snare.Love the cowbell/woodblock combo and is the holder accessory Rogers? Nice looking set and not played for long so should be in great shape.Anyway...with more info the experts will be able to help you.

Arnie,

Very nice! Some close-up shots of each drum would be helpful along with a picture of that "dealer-installed" mount.

and welcome to the forum!

Are the cymbals included in the sale? If so, you need to describe those (pics too?) as that will certainly affect the overall value.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

If that color is indicative of all the drums....... and condition of all the drums.....

What you have is not normal. Get some really good pics up. This is not your 500 dollar old drumset.

Thanks, as always the picture looks better than the actual product but it's pretty nice. The numbers are all close with everything except the larger tom tom which I think I bought a couple months later and the snare is numbered earlier don't know why.

The snare is not numbered lower. It is on a different serial sequence altogether. This is a Powertone snare and is in the specific numbering sequence for Powertone. Your drums are on the upper range of Flat Gray Dayton tags. A few months later would make an addition speckled gray Dayton.
