This is a quick question for which I hope I can get a quick answer. What is the size designation of the various hex rod stock for Rogers drums? Did they use 5/16" or maybe 3/8" rods for Swivo arms, disappearing cymbal rods, tom legs, etc? I don't have any Rogers drums at the moment, But, I have a set of Flat Jack drums en route to me that uses Rogers hardware. I know that it's missing two legs for the "floor tom". I plan on using stainless steel hex rod stock to support the tom. The third support is a Rogers Swivomatic tom arm attached to a bar over the bass drum (see pIcture). The picture is of a set that I once owned--not the fixer upper headed to me

I just measured a tom arm and it was 3/8th". I measured a floor tom leg and found it to be the same.
Hope that helps.
Thank you, Dan. That was very quick, and answers my question perfectly.
Good luck on the project. I've only seen those for the first time as a result of forum discussion. I've seen the Purecussion version and came very close to buying one after seeing a guy use a set during an outdoor gig on the waterfront in Newburyport, MA a number of years back. Amazing pieces of equipment. And talk about light lugging for a gig!
Howie-you've had a set of flatjacks before. haven't you? those look great.

I used a set of Flat Jacks in a rock band in the early 1960s (63-64). They carried the gigs as well as conventional drums did. I couldn't resist a very low price to buy a set that just needs to be cleaned up and have a few parts replaced. It's a two up/one down set. I think that I'll set it up as a one up/one down set. There should be a lot of salvageable replacement parts on the extra tom.
Here's a picture that shows the (dreaded and short term) chick singer with the band sitting behind my Flat Jacks.
That picture is a true time capsule. Get a load of the jack the guy is wearing on the right hand side!
Here is photo out of a rogers catalog with size info

Thanks to all for the help and the comments. That short tux jacket and the rest of the tux was part of one of our stage outfits. Here we are backstage with Chad and Jeremy at Gretz's Ballroom in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. There was a terrible blizzard that weekend. We drove all the way from the Chicago suburbs. We and the Brit duo headlining the gig made it to the venue. The owner and a few of his staff made it to the ballroom. Maybe ten local people showed up. Our band and Chad and Jermy had a great time playing our own stuff and jamming. The ballroom owner was one of the most honest people who ever hired us to play. We were paid in full. We and the Brits...and some of the local constabulary partied most of the night in a beautiful old hotel in Sheboygan.
Now that is one cool story! Imagine a night with Chad and Jeremy with almost no audience. Love those jackets too and the photos are real time warps. Were you playing a Leedy Black Diamond Pearl during that period? :)
Glad you were driving and not trying to fly to the gig though.
