Awaiting delivery of a 1979 Dynasonic. In the meantime, thanks to Glenn (FFR428) for his generosity in providing a replica hang tag with instructions for the snare mechanism and Wayne Brown for redirecting me.This forum rules. I made a small donation in their honor.Al

You`re welcome Al and thanks very much for making the donation to the VDF.You`re going to love your Dyna and once properly set up she`ll sing like nobody`s business. And the hang tag from Glenn... well that`s just the icing on the cake.Enjoy the 79`Al.

I bet it looks even better in real life.

The photos were taken outdoors and apparently with added lighting. So these were not quite as bright as in the pictures.

No complaints, though: Apart from some minor dings on the bass drum hoops (easily repainted), this kit was pristine.

If the snare arrives in time, I might use this on an audition next week. I can't wait to play it.

Can't wait to see more pics with new heads, etc.

Since you asked …

I typically use Remo heads, but I won several sets of Evans last year. Snare came with a brand new Remo.

I'm still getting the Dynasonic dialed in. It's probably just a matter of getting a little wear on the head. Right now, it has a nice Brufordian ring to it. The toms sing, especially with mallets.

Nice kit if priced well. Fullerton era is early 70's. I would recommend a COB Powertone to go along with the kit. As a Rogers novice, the DynaSonic might be too finicky for you to tune. Even if tuned right, I think you would still be happier with the versatility and feel of the Powertone.

my toms are fullerton but theyre holiday so theyre 69, the kick drum is a dayton so the toms might have been made in the dayton factory and therfore possibly 68 rt?
