Well thats a nice finish. What on earth is going on with the HH stand? Do you have a cymbal mounted on the HH rod? Won't that be flopping up and down when you play? And making the action of the pedal feel heavy?

Used an older cymbal mount on top of the high hat rod. Adjusted the pedal spring so the action if good. And since I don't stomp the high hat, it is not an issue. Very convenient and easy to strike the upper cymbal with minimal effort.

That veneer is buffed so perfectly, it could easily be mistaken at first glance for Rogers' KOA finish, but any Rogers aficionado would quickly see that the grain has much more contrast and complexity than KOA. Absolutely beautiful job, Jeff! And I love the fact that the bass hoops have the same wood inlay. Solid hoops without inlay just look naked on a Rogers kit.

So what did that 6.5" Super Ten start out as? I first thought it was a Dyna until I noticed the snare gates.

Jeff built that from a Keller shell, with Rogers hardware. Sounds great as a XP10......

Hey thanks Mike! sorry we never got a kit going for you.

Everyone talks about lacquer finishes and how they should be wet sanded between coats and multiple coats sprayed. They must be talking about something different than what I use because my finish is never rubbed out or polished, what yo see is the second or third coat right from the gun. If I had to rub and polish everything I made I would go crazy, lol!

Thank you!
