I am looking for some feedback on how to sell my 1989 Ludwig Rocker kit.
The bass is stamped "Oct 89". The shell interiors are clear - none of that speckled paint in them. Not sure of the # of plys.
I must have been in a "buyers haze" or something when I bought it because it has some problems. (Definitely a players kit not collectors kit.)
1) the bottom rims, rods and heads are missing from all toms so a couple of the shell bottoms have dings in them. the bass also only has 1 hoop & head too.
2) the floor tom wrap has a ripple in it
3) the bass serial number is slightly higher from the rest and the color of it seems brighter
After I bought it, I researched it on VDG - it appears not to be complete set. It has 7 toms and 1 bass. I think it was supposed to have 2 bass (according to Ludwig catalog scans - it might have been a LR-2220-RM)
It seems to me that larger kits are not selling now, I am guessing people are looking to downsize their kits. So my thought is to sell the individual pieces of the kit - not stripping the hardware off - just selling each tom and the bass separately.
Thoughts?
Thanks.
