Here is my "Tower of Power-and Finesse" collection of Ludwig snare drums..

1971 b/o 5x14 Supraphonic

1971 b/o 5x14 Acrolite

1966 4x14 keystone badge Down beat piccolo

1950's-ish 6 1/2 x14 ( i believe, never measured it --DOH)

Leedy and Ludwig Standard model, refinished by yours truly in a dark walnut stain..

Would love to have a Downbeat snare! Also would love a wood Dyna. Of course I have a Supra, always have had at least 1 in my arsenal.

Just wondering Ploughman, how many of those sweet Rogers snares are duplicates or triplicates etc?

I like this thread, Plougman I have seen your drums before many times but I dont think I have ever seen that many in one pic before. Very impressive collection to say the least.

Really love all the snare drums! I'm finally over at my girlfriend's house, setting up my 1967 Slingerland kit with my recently acquired 14x14 floor tom. Brought my camera to take pictures when I saw this thread. Just snapped a picture of my snare drums in the "drum room"...and then remembered I don't have the cable with me to transfer the pictures to my computer! Aaagh! Guess it will have to wait until I get home this weekend!
