Silver Sparkle Club Dates Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Picked these up last Thursday for $950 CDN. Not the greatest price in the world but they do not show up often and this is Canada after all...

Was able to take some better [daylight] pics today. I was actually happy about the center pole mount as I like to load up the kick with as much stuff as possible to save on hauling stands around. The splash-stack, two cymbals stacked to provide a sort of digital closed hihat sound, is on an arm I rigged - straight rod with cut-off top section from a straight stand clamped on there. Can go into more detail about that if anyone's interested...

I couldn't be more jazzed about this as it's been my holy grail for some time now. Since I had the "Rustic Mahogany" kit already, I have lots of extra parts now. Some I will keep for accident insurance, others will be sold. Meanwhile I am looking for one 20" bass drum hoop, 1.75", with 1/2" inlay channel....

More to come...

Those look to be in fantastic shape. I love the silver sparkle. I think you did fine on the price. There really are two prices out there. The price you pay when you are turning and burning and the price you pay when you really want something. I bet they sound amazing.

Very nice Mitch. They look great. Love your use of the center mount and also your various other percussion items. Well done!

Thanks guys! This was definitely "the price you pay when you really want something", not too far out of line, not a steal. I was willing to go a grand on one of these kits locally so I guess I got in under the wire...:)

Thanks Mike, it's kinda fun seeing how much I can cram in/on there with no extra stands, and it all gets used in this new project, which is a lot of fun.

Here are the serial numbers, just cuz I thought they seemed sort of interesting

Tom - 443262

Kick - 444261

Floor - 444412

The kick badge is fully loose and "spin-able" - any tips to tighten it without leaving any marks?

I've got one of these you can borrow anytime. Easy to fashion yourself too
