Luckily the one that I adapted to fit a Speed King "goal post".. Did have the holes... or I probably would not have had the idea of recycling it as such..

Cheers

John

There appears to be a lack of understanding here. The leather strap does NOT rest against any type of pin or rivet. While those holes are on certain footboard castings, they were never designed to use a pin for the 938 Tempo King pedal. I'm currently looking at two footboards in my Slingerland parts box right now. One pedal with the elongated fingers, each with a hole for a pin to pass through, and another footboard with no fingers or holes. Both are part number 803-10. The footboard with the holes was brought out for the Dynamo hi hat and had a pin going through it to hold the metal link to connect to the pull rod of the hi hat. This same footboard was also used on the 938 Tempo King, but without incorporating a pin. I hope this clears things up!-Mark

I agree and I thought that's what i just tried to say, sorry I didn't make my comments clear enough to clear things up.

Thanks Mark. I could have swore there was one there years ago when I was usung the pedal, but I'm probably mistaken. It was a long time ago.

Thanks Mark. I could have swore there was one there years ago when I was using the pedal, and it got fairly bent after time, but I could be mistaken. It was a long time ago.

I know the pin you're talking about, I bought a roll pin the right size from a hardware store and it did the job. Mind you I never knew there was never a pin installed in the pedal originally, just thought hmmm, here's a hole looks like it should have something in it. Cool DudeStevo.

Thanks Stevo.
