Forgive me for the dumb question but what is wrap? Also why would one put this on a set or did it come that way?

Wrap is the material covering the shells. Your wrap looks factory original, but unfortunately, it is one of the least desirable finishes (pearls and sparkles/glitters are generally more collectable than solid colors). Many of us replace seriously damaged wraps with new wraps available from many sources, but "rewrapped" drums are considered less collectable than original factory-wrapped shells.
You have a fine set of vintage drums there, and they do have value, but they are not highly "collectable". Depending on what those cymbals are, they could be worth more than the drums. I know the cymbal aficionados here would like to see pictures of the Zildjian stamps.
Good luck with the sales.
