Slingerland Early 70s? Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Hi All.

My first post after picking up an almost complete Slingerland. After help from the experts to help me get an accurate date. Its black sparkle, faded to the root beer colour. 20" 12" 16" plus Artiste snare. I have Bass pedal, HiHat, minus top holder, cymbal stand. The Snare stand that came with it is vintage Sonor, ( Made in Western Germany.) and an old Premier stool.

From an initial check over, a few scratches nothing major, a bit of pitting on chrome. Bass hoops been painted metallic brown, and spur wing nuts replaced by bolts.

PS. Seen some of the posts about valuations, sellers etc. I've had numerous "vintage kits" over the years. A vistalite in every pattern, plus a Tivoli.( Vistalites used to be my thing.) A North, a Slingerland in blue agate 26" 15" 18", a Zickos etc. Most went when circumstances changed :(

I intend to keep the Slingerland.

Looks Legit. And yes around 1974.

Floor tom mount doesn't look original though.

That's a really nice kit.. Liking the wrap... Thumbscrew in the setomatic is not correct & obviously the mod clamp on the strainer but these are easy fixes if you think it's necessary... The FT leg mounts are hard to find and generally expensive though..
