Man, sounds like you got a good deal! I love those instances where somebody selling you a kit is like, "Oh, if you're interested, I also have this OTHER item I'll throw in, too..."
1965 Ludwig Hollywood
1970 Ludwig Jazzette
Let me add two points...
The two mounted toms of the drumset are both 12". Is that typical of that time?
The Ludwig snare and floor tom have the keystone badge. The snare is '65.

Yes. In the 1967 Slingerland catalog, the "Modern Solo Outfit No. 2R" came standard with 2-8x12 toms.

Thanks Bill!
Adam check the address above. It is photobucket with some photos. I hope to get more up soon.
Woah! Earth Ride!
Dude you scored big time. That snare cleaned up is easily worth $200-$250 and the Ludwig floor tom probably about $250-$300 to someone who really needs it for their kit (if you complete it and its in good shape structurally). The Earth Ride has to be worth $100+ and you got a bunch of hardware. Id say you made money on this one easy! Put that money back into restoring the kit and you'll have a nice Slingy kit for a hundred fifty bucks or so!
If you need lugs to replace your crappy ones let me know. I have a lot of sound king lugs both large and small from the late 60's early 70's. TONS of small ones. Also have some brass hoops if you need. (I think I have a 16 and one 12 for sure).
Hows the finish? Finding the bd hoop is gonna be the challenge, but it is definitely out there! Im super stoked for you dude! This is right up my alley! Love that era Slingy stuff!

The Earth ride was a different score about 6 months ago but also a great deal.
So I can't just buy a Gibraltar 20" bass drum hoop and it work? Fill me in Adam.
Along the same line, will Gibraltar metal hoops for the toms work? I should probably be asking that on the restoration portion of the forum.
Adam, let me know what you want for the lugs. I will be needing lugs for the two 12" toms. Thanks!
Gibraltar hoops will work fine, but around here we like to see things get put back to factory specs with era correct parts!
is best to reach me for lugs. Like I said...I have a couple hoops too. We can talk about that though.
Thanks!
