I literally just got in the door with a Slingerland kit I just scored and I am a very happy camper! It looks late 70,s to 80,S but I am not a knowledgeable Slingerland guy at all. It is unmolested, down to original snare wires, hi hat & BD pedal. 1 off the cymbal stands is a Slingy. The tom mounts are the tube Pearl style ones w/ the S on wingnuts. The wrap is intact and there is barely a noticeable scratch. Snare is a 10 lugger, triple flanged hoops and light enough to be aluminium or steel (doesn"t weigh like a COB). More pics to come. I need to put my 4 year old to bed and it's way too late already!

Hard to tell from the pic, but it looks a 90's Musicyo kit made by Gibson.
Can you put a Pic of the badges? This will tell the Slingy experts a lot more.
Cheers Stevo.

I'd say it's a Spirit Series kit... (Just looking at the oversize wing nuts on the FT leg mounts).. better pics will tell a better story..

The serial on the snare is 895000 and 894922 on the kick & no serial #s on tom badges. Funny enough I missed this kit by 1 phone call a week ago. The first caller never showed up and a week later I was the first caller. They were sweet folks and I promised them some pics of this kit being played live. This kit is going to clean up so easily too! It has spent it's whole life in a climate controlled family basement and has never gigged. It has always had it's bottom rims on and the bearing edges are all pristine. Now I can't wait to play it tomorrow!!
Btw, thanks in advance for any dating, model info! I have just started digging and from what I can figure out this kit would have been produced in 1986 during their final year of production. make sense?

More pics! After re-examination I quickly realized that the toms do indeed have serial #s, but only on one of their two badges. The tom serials are in the 890000's.

Yup, I think you are right that this is a Musicyo/Gibson kit. I paid $250 so I'm not really complaining. hopefully it'll bit like buying a Rogers R380 and liking them anyway...The build of the hardware/stands is pretty impressive and doesn't scream import. I'll see how they sound tomorrow.

$250 is a pretty good buy, definitely 90's going by the serial #'s
Under rated drums being MIT, but I'm sure they will they will sound great.

Okay so it's a Spirit Plus S2000 B. This has been confusing! I think I am really gonna dig the snare. I like inexpensive COS snares like Swingstars and Premier 1036s so it should be up my alley. I could always make a halloween costume out of the set of Scimitar cymbals....
