Sweet.

Interesting looking venue, with the trees. Are they living trees?

Oh ya, those are living trees, it's a very cool outdoor gig.

If you're going to play it often in a one up configuration, do yourself a big favor. Get a single Set O Matic tom arm for more versatility in positioning the tom.

I intend too, just need to find one on ebay.

Agreed with LeedyBDP. The single arm is cool. But watch what you say comparing those Slingerland parts to my beloved Swivomatics!!!!Falling Do

The reason those drums sound good is, in part, is that the hoops are brass (if I'm not mistaken). Check with a magnet or the Slingerland guys can confirm. That is a big factor. Plus you have very thin shells that resonate really well. Consider that kit for a long time before you let it go. Really handy as you say for a tight spot and easy to transport. There will be times when a larger set could be handy, but I bet you find you can do a high percentage of your gigs with that kit. Plus, you have the double tom option if you want to exercise it. Beautiful and rare color too.

I didn't mean to criticize Rogers tom arms, but I've used both and I prefer the Slingerland tom arm.

I also prefer the double tom arm for a single tom. The single arm puts the drum too far to the left and the long arm inside tends to choke the tom.

I agree, the shorter arm doesn't even go threw the shell and the drum sings. I also like the fact that's it's closer in and I can position it very easily with just the one tom.
