Yeah, it's just a shame about that bubbling. Not sure how to proceed from here - do I spend money on rewrapping it (Precision has a charcoal pearl that's a pretty close match), or can that bubbling be fixed?
I'm thinking of giving it to a music teacher mate of mine for his school, but I'm umming and uh-ing now, as a. I don't really want to give him something that looks bad, and b. I'd rather not spend a lot of money on it that ends up being more than the kit is actually worth. As I say the tom was naked, so if I wanted to finish it all I'd have to get new wrap anyway, and in which case why not new wrap for the BD as well. And well, the chances of a matching floor popping up are pretty stark, so I am in a bit of a quandary! Any thoughts?
Personally, I could live with the bubbling if I decided to keep it as a player, but it's not good enough to donate to a school in this condition.
I'll keep going with with it for the time being, at least until I decide whether or not it's a lost cause. Started on the hoops, which were sprayed silver right over the inlay. These are proving to be right bastards to clean up!
More pics coming soon.
Thanks lads,
