I really hate to be the one to say this, but it'll be a cold day in Hell before you see another one this clean come up for sale. As high as the asking price is; it's the only game in town. If it was me in your situation, and I had the $, I'd buy that one in a NY minute and consider it a miracle that I found one at all.
Very rare drum. Especially an orphan snare in that finish. The more I think about it, the less outrageous the asking price seems to be.
If you can't afford it... forget it and move on. Thinking about it will only torture you. If you have the extra $... jump on this one. It'll be a long while before another 'single orphan snare drum in Alice Cooper Blue' comes up for sale. If ever.

For the record, for when the link's gone
I had a late 60"s Ludwig Standard 5-pc. in Lemon Strata, had it up for sale and a guy in Texas wanted my snare. He said he had been waiting for one to come around for a long time and asked me if I'd part out the kit. Made no sense to me. I passed and it sold a small time later. The guy that bought the kit only bought it because it was complete, this snare will add value to your kit, take the plunge, don't be that guy in Texas!
