I'm super excited! I was talking to a friend who lives part time in Washington state about game meat and fish the other day. He hunts and fishes in WA and Alaska. Then yesterday he shows us with a big bag of elk meat, elk sausage, salmon and halibut!!! these are big treats since we done ever get anything but farmed salmon around here and none of the other stuff. I look forward to trying elk for the first time.
Hollywood - I was born and raised in Manhattan. I'm a 'city kid', about the only thing I ever got to hunt and eat was Beaver! lolThe closest we ever came to eating something 'wild' was when we ate at White Castle! :pJohn
I used to get White Castle belly bombs all the time John.Standard order was 1 dozen burgers(no cheese, had to watch out weight),fries, onion rings and small coke(that's a real coke ya'll)
Remember the slogan "buy em' by the sack".
The frozen ones are decent, but it's not the same.

no disrespect to all you white castle aficionados but part of the beauty of "wild" meat is the absolute absence of industrialized processing, artificial additives, hormones, antibiotics or chemicals.kind of the antithesis of a white castle burger.
You sir have it right I do not eat beef, store bought chicken, or farm raised fish, we eat elk, deer and wild salmon all killed and caught by ourselves, I understand it is not for everyone but it works for me and my family..... it is also why it is so hard to play music when living in the sticks... LOL
AND yesterday my dad arrived home from hunting in PEI with 10 beautiful fat wild geese.
Gonna be a great christmas dinner again this year.
