unknown ludwig possible 30's HELP!! Last viewed: 1 hour ago
WoW this is very cool man it's busy inside this shell for sure!, This will help in the evaluation,
last photos, also added are the other two snares i acquired. a 60's rogers dyna sonic and slingerland.
Man you hit the mother lode!!
now i do know the bottom snares are NOT the originals to the drum, how ever they are super sensitive i think from a later model, they're adjustable. all the hardware attached to the drum is original that i know of besides of course the warmers. there is one very small bit of copper that was added between the throw and lever as the original was lost or broken, that was added by the professor i got the drum from.
this guy i got these from is by far one of the greatest guys on the planet. i wish i had my junk together to have been able to study under him. my wife was able too and that's how we met him. he allowed her to take whatever she wanted out of his library for one dollar a book. i think we ended up with over one hundred books and three snare drums... to protect his privacy i'd rather not give out his name.

Hi,
Yep, it's an Anniversary Model, the date stamp obviously but the tapped Imperial lugs are proof also...the bottom wires are called Super wires (Super-Ludwig is the name for the bottom mechanism that uses the parallel wires), the top wires are the Sensitive mechanism wires, the top mechanism is called the Sensitive mechanism...hence, Super-Sensitive...It's nice to see that someone used common sense and made use of the grommet/air hole instead of drilling holes although the drilling of holes for heater plates was very common and is proof for me that the drum was gigged on...nice find, enjoy your new/old drums.

Ducos do not command as as much as pearl finishes so my guessimate would be 800.00-1200.00 (your Duco looks to be in great shape)...common pearl finishes (WMP, BDP,) I'd say 1200.00-1500.00...rare finishes like Abalone, Butterscotch, Sea Green etc. I'd say 1500.00+.
