Could it be from the days when you could have any custom finish on your drums. I remember the old ad with the Coke set. It's so subtle though...cannot imagine paying an upcharge for that.

It looks like wall paper from a tiki bar kind of.

Yep Aztec. A couple of members here have sets in that pattern.

1976 catalog shows the different colors.

Evidently that was the thoughts of the buying public back in the day as these aztec wrap did not sell well.

I have several "unusual and not so popular wraps",but would NEVER BUY THIS ONE!Sorry if I offended anyone.

Ludwig collection of sets and pioneer snare drums.
Example of Rogers,Slingerland,Gretsch,Premier and Ajax sets.
Various '60's and '70's US,English and Japanese snare drums.
HELP,NEED MORE SPACE!

I had a Brown Aztec kit once. The wrap is like a fabric or thick wall paper. I liked it.
